ACTE Heat Exchangers

New factory. New team. Same world-class recuperators.

A new chapter in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, built on more than two decades of heat-recovery engineering.

What moved to Paraguay

Machinery, know-how and quality systems.

In 2022, the productive assets and heat-exchanger expertise moved to a new plant in the Monday Global free zone. The operation added modern laser welding, robotic and orbital welding for piping, robots for header fabrication and new inspection procedures.

Older production equipment was kept alongside the new machinery so output could be compared directly during the transition.

Today

Engineering and production in one operation.

Thermal and mechanical design, core geometry, casings, interfaces, prototype iteration and manufacturing sit close together. Workshop operators and welders work with the engineers responsible for the duty.

ACTE has eight active accounts today. Its products have been qualified across 12 microturbine programmes. Several hundred units have been delivered, including units still in service worldwide.

Manufacturing

12 mm of doublet per second, year round, non-stop—all automatically.

Automated production gives ACTE the capacity to make heat-exchange surface at volume with repeatable forming and welding. Programmes can move from prototype through series supply in the same workshop.

Our history

Engineering at the core. Since 1998.

ACTE’s engineering roots date back to 1998, with a focus on recovering heat from micro gas turbine exhaust. ACTE S.A. was incorporated in Belgium in 2003. Today, that expertise continues through ACTE PY S.R.L., our manufacturing and commercial operation in Paraguay.

Innovation and practical problem-solving remain central to our work—from the COMPACT and GAP heat exchanger ranges to custom solutions for applications that demand a different approach.

Bespoke engineering

Beyond off-the-shelf solutions.

Every application brings its own operating conditions, space constraints and integration requirements. Our engineers combine research and development experience with industrial partnerships to design heat exchangers around those needs.

From specialised heat exchangers to heat recovery from unconventional sources, we work with clients to develop practical solutions—and support them from prototype to series production.

People and values

A multidisciplinary team. A shared purpose.

Research and development, mechanical design, business development, administration and workshop teams bring complementary skills to each project. Engineers, machine operators and welders work together through coordination, trust and continuous improvement.

Quality guides the work from concept design to serial manufacturing. Flexibility allows us to adapt to changing technical and production needs, while a staged approach to development keeps progress aligned with each customer’s project.
